Frequently asked questions

Do I need to speak Portuguese?

Many bachelor's degrees are taught in Portuguese, often requiring a B1-B2 level. At master's level there is a large choice in English; Portuguese is still a real asset for daily life and jobs.

What budget should I plan?

A total budget estimated at 55,000 to 65,000 TND should be planned, including around 40,000 TND for the blocked account, depending on the applicable requirements. Living costs are generally €700 to €1,000 per month, Lisbon and Porto being the most expensive.

When should I apply?

Applications run in several phases from winter to summer, and the first phase is often the most favourable. As visa processing can take more than two months, we prepare your application as early as possible.
